Jen's 40 Days

Day 1 {02-17}:  Unfortunately, I missed out on the first day!  Boo for being tired and lazy!  I guess I'll have to make it a 41 day challenge!

Day 2 {02-18}:  Walked on treadmill at 3.5 mph for 21:53 minutes for a total of 1.25 miles.  Bare-minimum, but got it done at 10:00 p.m.!  read more about it here .

Day 3 {02-19}:  Walked on treadmill at 3.6-3.7 mph for 20:51 for 1.25 miles.

Day 4 {02-20}:Walked on treadmill at 3.5-3.6 mph for 20:51 for 1.25 miles.  New plan for tomorrow!

Day 5 {02-21}:  Started the Making the Cut program.  Day 1 circuit training approx. 50 minutes.  Kicked my bootie!


Day 6 {02-22}:  Day 2 of MTC Circuits.  Approx. 50 minutes.  Not as hard, but I'm very sore today.  Not sure if I'll be able to walk by this evening!


Day 7 {02-23}:  Extremely sore today!  Dinner out with family, so a late night walk on the treadmill.  20 minutes at 3.0 mph {I am seriously sore people!}  1 mile.

Day 8 {02-24}:  Day 4 of MTC Circuits.  Approx. 50 minutes.  Getting better.  Not as sore!


Day 9 {02-25}:  Day 5 of MTC Circuits.  Approx.  45 minutes.  I really focused today on only resting the 30 seconds Jillian recommends between circuits.  I think I'm starting to see results!  Oh, but I have official crowned lunges as the bane of my existence!  I know they are doing great things, but man I hate them!

Day 10 {02-26}:  Went for a walk with the hubby.  A little chilly, but great to get some fresh air.  20 minutes.  Approx 1 mile.

Day 11 {02-27}:  This one is admittedly cheating, but we went to the Homes Show and walked around for a couple of hours.  I am counting that for my 20 minutes of moving today, because I'm exhausted from it!  

Day 12 {02-28}:  Day 8 of MTC Circuits.  Two sets of each circuit!  {woo-hoo!}  Seriously, the hardest workout I've had since high school sports.  Bring on the changes!


Day 13 {03-01}:  Okay, I totally flaked today.  Went straight from work to a social function, and didn't get home til nearly 9:30.  :(  Couldn't bring myself to workout that late!  


Day 14 {03-02}:  Day 9 of MTC Circuits.  {yes, I'm should really be on Day 10, but I had to shuffle some days around to accommodate some social events this week.}  This workout was not my friend today.  I was just having one of those really rough days where nothing was going how it should.  Rough.  45 minutes of circuits.  One rotation.  

Day 15 {03-03}:  No exercise today...went straight to watch the KU/K-State game.  My blood was pumping though!  Rock Chalk!

Day 16 {03-04}:  I'm not even going to make excuses...it just didn't happen today.  

Day 17 {03-05}:  Nada...

Day 18 {03-06}: Zilch...this is bad

Day 19 {03-07}:  Nothing.

Day 20 {03-08}:  Back on the horse!  Since I got off track last week, I'm starting back with Week 2 of Making the Cut.  Day 8 Circuits.  One Set.  Approx. 45 minutes.  I was able to do the push ups this week!  I'm making progress!  hooray!

Day 21 {03-09}:  This was a great workout!  I feel like I'm finally getting in the groove.  Still being challenged, but I feel like it's controlled now!  Also, I'm seeing major improvements in my strength and ability to perform some of these moves!  Hooray!  One set of Day 9 Circuits, approx. 45 minutes PLUS 15 minutes of running, for a total of 1.55 miles.  

Day 22 {03-10}:  Walked one mile over lunch.  I should have worn some better shoes , but it was good to get out in the fresh air!  After work I did one set of Day 11 circuits, approx. 45 minutes.  Still amazed at the progress of my strength!  

Day 23 {03-11}: Day 12 circuits.

Day 24 {03-12}:  Rest.

Day 25 {03-13}:  Rest.

Day 26 {03-14}:  Day 15 Circuit.  1x

Day 27 {03-15}:  Day 16 Circuit.  2x.  I harnessed getting mad and really working it hard!  I'm tired of not liking my body, and am determined to get to where I want to be.  My new mantra:  "Embrace the pain of change."  --Dave Ramsey .  It works for finances and workouts!

Day 28 {03-16}: Rest

Day 29 {03-17}:  Day 18 Circuit.  1x and 1.4 mile run.  It was beautiful outside, and I feel strongly that cardio is what's missing from my routine!

Day 30 {03-18}: Day 19 Circuit.  1x plus 2.5 miles {1.4 run, 1.1 walk}  Another beautiful day outside!
